While many complain how wet and miserable rainy days are, I smile inside and hope it could last just a bit longer. I recall the many rainy days I visited mummy at her home. How she would look so pleased to see me, allow me to go into her room and tell me to lie down and rest on her bed, how she would ask me if I am happy, and how she would say so very often; “You are the apple of my eye.”. As those precious, fond memories happened and many more, I came to associate mummy with the gentle rain, soothing, calming, and full of purpose. Thank you mummy, for the love you showered down on me.
